When it comes to being a truly global city, NYC probably takes the crown in more ways than most international destinations. It’s everywhere, the people, the culture, the religion, the neighborhoods and most of it is in the FOOD as well. Yes, the diversity of this city runs really deep. You have people from almost every single corner of the world and that gives rise to ‘little communities’ (like Little India, Little Korea, etc.) which in turn helps grow and share their cultures and their tastes with the people here.

New York city is indeed fast, and truth be told, it doesn’t ever sleep. If you find yourself at Times Square at any given point in time, you are bound to encounter so many others enjoying the beauty and wonder of this magnificent city. Same is true for the Hell’s Kitchen, SoHo or even Battery Park. But what keeps the people moving? What fuel’s the fast moving life here in New York? It’s their FOOD! Yes, the amazing amalgamation of world cuisines from across the globe has given this city some of the best food scenes to be seen in any major city. You would be able to find something for every single taste, every single kind of cuisine, country, region and ingredient.

This was my 6th visit to the city and probably the longest ever time I have spent in this city (2 months and counting). Over the last 2 months I have chowed down some of the most diverse food options and here’s a list of Top-15 must-visit food stops in NYC. Some would hardly make a dent in your wallet whereas some are sure to break your bank! No judgments or personal opinions here, but you would surely thank me when you hit the stops in this list for yourself.

Ask not what you can do for your country.
Ask what’s for lunch.

Truth be told, New York is indeed way more than these 15 food stops. But just like any other destination city you gotta start somewhere right. So if you haven’t yet begun your culinary journey in NYC, go out there, hit a few spots from this list and let the taste lead you to your next stops.

Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first!
